Wearable Sculpures
"I see jewelry as wearable sculpture, an act of self-expression that combines elements of design with an understanding of physics."
Sue Sachs has spent over 30 years handcrafting jewelry and metal sculpture inspired by the organic forms of nature. Working by hand in silver, brass, and copper, she utilizes patinas, enamel, and precious stones selection to ensure every piece receives singular attention. Her award-winning work has been featured at the American Craft Council (Baltimore), Morristown Craft Market, and the Guilford Craft Show.
A dedicated educator who has mentored hundreds of students since 1981 at institutions like the Visual Arts Center of NJ and the Newark Museum, Sue currently conducts weekly lessons and intensive workshops from her fully equipped studio at Riker Hill Art Park in Livingston, New Jersey.
